Product Description

The C 5 is a professional cardioid condenser microphone with less “reach” than competitive products to work better for vocalists who use in-ear monitor systems and for use on loud stages. The C 5 uses a classic AKG small-diaphragm capsule design with an edge-terminated diaphragm that is wrapped in 24-carat gold housing for protection against moisture and humidity.

The C 5 also includes a presence boost adapter – a small snap-on acoustic equalizer that gives the sound more energy and intelligibility in the 3 – 5 kHz range. The presence boost adapter can be removed for use with singers with thinner voices and adds considerable sonic flexibility to the microphone. 

The C 5 has other premium construction features including a thick spring steel dent-resistant grille and gold-plated XLR output connector for loss-free signal transfer. The C 5 delivers studio-quality sound for the stage.
