Maximum power on the JazzAmpTM 10 is 80 watts at 4 ohms (this requires an extension cabinet). As shipped with a single 8 ohm speaker it delivers 60 watts. What is more important is the amp will deliver an SPL of 111 at 1khz without distortion. A typical jazz sextet plays at an average SPL of 97 db as measured 10 feet in front of the bandstand.

Maximum power on the JazzAmpTM 12 is 160 watts at 4 ohms (this requires an extension cabinet). As shipped with a single 8 ohm speaker it delivers 120 watts which is twice the power of the JazzAmpTM 10. Note that all of that power will only increase the distortion free SPL by 4db from 111 db to 115 db. The purpose of the power is for headroom on frequencies below 200hz. Due to the high power it is fan cooled.
