Features
- Introducing Beacon – a portable sound system so powerful it can cover a football field. Sound so clear, it can be heard over screaming fans from the front row of the bleachers clear to the back. Pumped up music with three on board 8” woofers keeps the house rocking indoors or out. How did Anchor do it? By using a line array system with eight 4.5” mid-range speakers in a tower combined with three 8” speakers in the base. The patent pending enclosure deploys up to a height of 6 feet and provides a 120 degree pattern of pure sound up to a distance of 500 feet.
- Why a line array? Not only is the sound clearer and smoother, but the sound does not blast at the front of the audience and drop off drastically at the back. Conventional wisdom holds that you add additional speakers spread throughout the venue to provide more sound coverage. However, this causes sound waves to ricochet off the hard surfaces and criss-cross over each other to the point where the sound becomes garbled. Line arrays provide a single source for the sound, and are a far superior solution.
- The Beacon can be customized with a built-in CD player or up to two built-in 16 channel wireless receivers. Of course, the system is powered with a true AC/DC power supply and the built-in rechargeable battery will go up to 8 hours on a charge.
- A telescoping handle, on board wheels, and soft exterior pockets for storage complete the package. No need for a stand.
