Pro Tools|HD Native is a new addition to the Pro Tools|HD family, designed for music and post-production professionals who want the absolute best performance possible on the host. Pro Tools|HD Native features the lowest latency and highest stability of any native digital audio workstation, with all of the features and functionality of Pro Tools HD software.

Together with a supported audio interface, Pro Tools|HD Native—which includes a PCIe core and the full Pro Tools HD software toolset—delivers up to 192 tracks of audio and up to 64 channels of I/O when used with HD I/O, HD OMNI, and/or HD MADI interfaces, as well as legacy Pro Tools|HD interfaces.

While both Pro Tools|HD Native and flagship Pro Tools|HD systems leverage the maximum power of the host computer, only Pro Tools|HD with dedicated DSP delivers guaranteed peak performance, near-zero latency, and expandable, power-on-demand plug-in processing above what the host computer can do alone, ensuring the best performance—no matter how complex the project. Unlike Pro Tools|HD systems, Pro Tools|HD Native relies on the native processing power of the host computer for all mixing and plug-in (RTAS and AudioSuite) processing—TDM plug-ins and adding HD Accel cards for additional processing are not supported.
