Product Description

The Roland/RSS S-0816 is a front of house digital snake. This device routes and delivers digital audio over Ethernet cables. It is a system with 8 analog inputs and 16 analog outputs in this configuration.

Roland/RSS S-0816 Features:

Pre-Amps

Each input channel has its own pre-amp which boosts the gain close to the input source before it is transferred to digital for clean signals with low degradation

Digital Transfer

Digital transfer of REAC (Roland Ethernet Audio Communication) provides extremely flat and pure audio transfer for the whole frequency bandwidth.

Ethernet

After the digital transfer the signals are routed via an outside control source utilizing the Ethernet cable and the S-4000H. When this is utilized external noise sources and hum can be minimal or non-existent

Application

Using a standard switching hub, the user can send source audio to multiple recording consoles, a monitor position, broadcast location and more.
