The RSS / Roland S-4000 Modular 32x8 Digital Snake System delivers up to 40 channels of 24-bit, 96kHz audio routing between stages and FOH (Front of House) control booths in professional sound reinforcement applications.
The system is designed to provide effortless routing for both instruments and mics in concerts, theatrical performances and more. The S-4000S-3208 modular rack unit delivers 32 inputs with mic-preamps, and 8-sends at the stage. The S-4000S-0832 modular unit provides 32 outputs with mic-preamps and 8 sends to the FOH console.
Both units are connected via 32-foot (10m) Cat5e crossover cable, and feature modular, swappable connector sections. The included S-4000R remote control unit provides the engineer with all the routing power, and its RC232 port allows for software operation with a Windows PC.
